In a quest to experience the much-anticipated Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, I made the decision to invest in a PlayStation 5, believing the console exclusivity would be worth the cost. Eager to dive into the world of Midgar and beyond, I thought that owning the latest gaming hardware was a small price to pay for the thrill of this iconic franchise's continuation.
However, as the months rolled by, I found myself in disbelief when I learned that the game would soon be available on PC. The excitement I once felt transformed into a wave of regret. The anticipation of playing a beloved title was overshadowed by the realization that I had purchased a console for a game that would not remain exclusive for long.
Now, I sit with my PS5, pondering the irony of my situation. The allure of console gaming has faded, replaced by the convenience of PC gaming, leaving me to reflect on my hasty decision.
