PS Plus July 2026 Games Are Packed With Zombies, Aliens and Nostalgia

Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus lineup for July 2026, and it is a mix of blockbuster action, survival horror, and a deep cut from the PlayStation 2 era. Subscribers across all tiers will get access to a trio of games that lean heavily into sci-fi, undead hordes, and classic stealth combat.

Leading the pack is "Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora," the open-world adventure from Massive Entertainment. Players take on the role of a Na'vi warrior exploring the Western Frontier, a previously unseen region of Pandora. The game emphasizes vertical traversal, aerial combat on ikran, and a lush, reactive ecosystem. It is a visual showcase that finally lets players live out the James Cameron fantasy in a full-fledged game.

Joining the lineup is "Dying Light," Techland's first-person zombie parkour game. While the sequel has been out for years, the original remains a benchmark for tense, fast-paced survival. Players must scavenge for supplies by day and survive the more aggressive infected by night. The game's fluid movement system and brutal melee combat still hold up well, making it a solid addition for anyone who missed it the first time around.

The most surprising entry is "Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy," a cult classic from 2004. This third-person action game puts players in the role of Nick Scryer, a psychic operative who can use telekinesis, mind control, and other powers to fight through a military compound. Its physics-based combat was ahead of its time, letting players throw objects, levitate enemies, and even possess guards to solve puzzles. For longtime fans, this is a welcome return to a forgotten gem.

All three games will be available to download starting July 7, 2026, for PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium members. The July lineup offers a solid balance of modern spectacle and retro charm, giving players plenty of reasons to stay indoors during the summer heat.
