Digital Eclipse is remastering six retro Toy Story games, including a PS3 classic

A new collection of classic Toy Story video games is heading to modern platforms, courtesy of developer Digital Eclipse. The bundle, titled "Toy Story: Retro Roundup and Toy Story 3 Complete Edition," will bring six titles from the franchise's gaming history to current consoles and PC this October.

The collection spans multiple eras of gaming. It includes the original 1995 "Toy Story" game based on the first film, which was released for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. Also featured are "Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue" from the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation era, and "Toy Story Racer," a kart-style game from the late 1990s.

Perhaps the biggest draw for collectors is the inclusion of "Toy Story 3: The Video Game." This is the 2010 version released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, which is widely considered one of the best licensed games of its generation. It features an open-world "Toy Box" mode that many fans still praise. This marks the first time that specific version has been re-released since its original launch.

The collection also includes "Toy Story: Smash It!" a 2013 mobile-style game, and "Toy Story: 10th Anniversary Edition," a compilation from 2005. Digital Eclipse has added modern features like save states, rewind options, and display filters to make the older games more accessible.

The bundle is set to launch on October 8 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Pricing has not yet been announced, but pre-orders are expected to open soon.
