4 big new video games out this week

The final days of June and the first week of July bring a handful of highly anticipated video game launches across PC and consoles. From a long-awaited sequel to a brand new open-world adventure, here is a look at the four biggest titles arriving between June 29 and July 5.

Leading the charge is "Echoes of the Shaper," the next installment in the popular fantasy action-RPG series. Set five years after the last game, players return to a fractured continent where ancient machines have begun to awaken. Early previews praise its refined combat system and a massive, interconnected map that rewards exploration. The game launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Also dropping this week is "Neon Drift: Circuit Breaker," a high-speed arcade racer that mixes cyberpunk aesthetics with intense vehicular combat. Unlike traditional racing games, this one focuses on chaotic multiplayer mayhem where weapons and power-ups are just as important as a good line through a corner. It supports up to 16 players online and includes a single-player career mode.

For fans of survival horror, "The Hollowing" arrives on all major platforms. This first-person title puts you in an abandoned research station in the Arctic. The twist is that the environment itself shifts and changes, making every playthrough different. The developers have promised a deep story with multiple endings, and the early demo generated strong buzz for its oppressive atmosphere.

Finally, "Tiny Kingdoms 2" offers a lighter option. This charming strategy game lets you build and manage a miniature medieval kingdom. It features a new campaign, improved diplomacy options, and a cooperative mode for two players. It is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices.

All four games are now available for pre-load on digital storefronts, with physical copies arriving at retailers on their respective launch dates.
